Volumizing Hair

What are some good volumizing hair products for straight fine hair?
I have shoulder-length straight fine hair, and haven't had much success in "volumizing" it with any hair products.
If you also have long straight fine hair and have found successful volumizing products, could you please let me know... Shampoos, conditioners, mousse, hair spray, whatever 
Also, please include where the product(s) can be purchased.
Try to after you washed:
Dry your hair a little bit
Then you take some gel (just a bit) and rub it on you scalp not so that it looks wet really just a half a teaspoon or so
the when you dry your hair lift the hair up at the roots (DO NOT BLOWAVE YOUR HAIR DOWN) it makes it limp.
Try to lift the hair up with your brush
