Which era of ATP tennis is your favourite and why?Who are the tennis players in that era that captivated you?
Personally I like the era from the late nineties to early 2000 when players such as Sampras, Agassi, Rafter, Kafelnikov, Rios, Kuerten etc were around and at their top. Even then the young Federer (with ponytail) was exciting to watch and giving these guys some hard times. These players are tough and strong, there was wide variety in their playing styles and the competition then was intense compared to the tennis circuit now which is dominated by Federer and Nadal(in clay). I'm only 20 plus of age so I can't comment about the earlier eras.

my favorite would be the time when andre agassi made his comeback (1999). i also agree with you about 1998-2001 as exciting years in tennis. you forgot to mention that sampras, agassi, rios, rafter, kafelnikov, safin, hewitt, moya and kuerten all became number one's during those years! another great time was in 1998 when pete sampras and marcelo rios traded the number one spot at least 3 times during that year!
