Question about Honeywell Williamson Temp Control?
I recently moved into a duplex and cannot figure out how to turn off the fan on the thermostat. It is a Honeywell Williamson. It is the old style circular type that you rotate to fix the temp. On the upper left is a switch for - cool, off, & heat. On the upper right is a switch for - fan on & auto. i have the heat & cool off and have experimented between 'fan on' & 'auto' but the fan is constantly on. I would like to turn it completely off to save on electricity. Can anyone help? Thanks.
If the thermostat reaches the setting it should go off, if not it may be on a completely separate switch, check your breaker box, it may be listed as fan. Most thermostats have an off setting which turns everything off which is why I would suspect it's not wired correctly.
