Strengthening Shampoo

I'm having a problem with my hair breaking. Anyone know of a good fortifying shampoo?
I think it may be that I'm over-conditioning my hair. In any event, the stylist said to get a fortifying shampoo which should strengthen my hair. I will appreciate all suggestions. Thanks!
a lot of conditioner will cause that but if you try shampoo called fashionista by cat walk it is really good..it says it is for color but i use it everyday and it's great for my hair. i work at a hair salon
