is it safe to swim in a pool with Low alkalinity and stabilizer?
okay on a test strip it said it was low on ppm Total Alkalinity & ppm Stabilizer (Pad nearest handle) . But i'm sweating gallons and i want to know if its safe enough to go in and whats the risk. Like your hair falling off.
Other than your eyeballs falling out and losing your eyebrows, don't sweat it!
As long as there is free chlorine in the pool, the water is safe. The other measurements (pH, total alkalinity) may effect your comfort but they do not affect you. Those other measurements are really there for keeping the pool pipes (circulation system) healthy.
However, if the pH is too high or too low, it will make your eyes burn.
Oh ... and about your hair falling out ...
