How do you set hair without it coming out at night?
I am trying to save money on salon trips by setting my hair at home. I bought velcro rollers because I thought these were the best to use. I also bought a Carel by Helen of Troy soft 800 watt bonnet. I like how it turned out but I am not fully satisfied. It doesnt feel like it will last overnight. I am wondering if I got the wrong rollers or dryer. Or if I am just not rolling them right? Any suggestions please
From my experience .. velcro rollers are best to use on dry hair to add volume.. they work.. but don't hold that long...
what i use at home are hot rollers... u heat them up and wrap your dry hair in them.. Remington makes a set that is called "rag rollers" and it makes a nice set that looks amazing when u run your fingers thru after.. and the good thing about these are that they're comfortable enough that you can sleep with them in your hair.. (my boyfriend thinks i look ridiculous with them on =) ) but when you wake up your hair is done in 10 seconds.. I'm not sure how long your hair is .. but check them out.. not alot of sets will last overnight b/c you toss and turn and they get frizzy sooo try these n sleep with them in... try spraying a heat memory product..(Redken Fabricate) before each section is rolled... good luck...
another tip.. when you roll the rollers.. alternate the way you do it.. roll the 1st one toward your face.. the 2nd away from your face.. it helps to prevent the curls from all forming one huge one as the day goes on.... and it looks better
