What is the difference between a homophobic and someone who is simply straight?
I see many people say homosexual sex is just "gross." Not a sin, not anything -- just that it is gross --
Which is understandable to me! Because I think heterosexual sex is gross!
So, do we confuse people for homophobes just because they simply do not like the sexual aspect of it?
Are these people confused into thinking they hate homosexuals because they would never have sex with someone of the same gender?
Homophobes discrimate against gay people and are afraid of them. This fear can turn into irrational hate (Matthew Shepard). Virtuall all straight people think sex between two men or two women is gross. I hope you aren't offended by this but it's true. Just like you think that sex between a man and a woman is gross. For me it's not gross but I'm straight so I beg to differ. LOL. Either way I'm not homophobic at all. I support gay rights and hate any type of discrimination. I think people should mind their own business about what consenting adults do with one another. There is a lot of confusion going on. Many gay people expect straight people to accept the sexual aspect of their relationship. It's not possible and we simply cannot but to discriminate against someone because of their sexual orientation is something I would never do. Homophobes hate homosexuals simply because of religion, their own repressed sexuality, or simple misguided upbringing. Most straight people aren't homophobic, those are only a minority. Just because I would never have sex with someone of my own gender doesn't mean I hate those who do. To each their own, I say.
