how to make my individual braids last longer?
I have individual braids with synthetic hair. I try to wear a bandana every night and have a braid sheen spray.....but after about 3 weeks they get frizzy. Also they start to smell musty, how do i prevent all of this?
i never keep my braids in for longer than a month maybe a month and a half. i wash and dip them weekly, but even then thats make them even more frizzy
Be careful when leaving in individual braids for very long. I do not know how long you have had your braids in, but if you leave your hair in braids for too long, the hair will start to "lock"... almost as if you're trying to form dreadlocks. 3 months is a good rule of thumb for extensions.
And about the musty smell... I hope you're washing it. But the hair just might be old, and it's time to take it out and throw it away.
