Does pure shea butter usually come in a particular color other then yellowish?
and what type of texture or color should i be looking for when buying pure shea butter ?
Are there usually any odors that comes with the different types textures ?
Should the butter be sticky and smell like bacon grease??
The purest shea butter is really white, doesn't smell at all. But I don't think that you'll be able to find that since you have to get it from the «shea butter country» Burkina Faso. When buying shea butter, you should prefer beige colors to yellow ones. For the texture you should not find little rounds balls when opening the container. If you rub the shea butter in the palm of your hands and its difficult to turn into cream or little rounds balls start forming, they avoid that. Just rub it in the palm of your hand or between your thubs. As for the odor, it depends. If you're in Canada, it's going to be difficult to find shea butter that does not smell at all. Try different stores and choose the odor that suits you better.
