my home central a/c has small leak can it be sealed to repair? with a injection sealer or what is needed
No, It needs the attention of a capable HIVAC.repairman.
You cannot open the system without losing the freon.
The repair man has a tester that can pinpoint the leak.
He will then connect a freon recovery machine to your
a/c and pump it out. [This is required by law, freon is a green
house gas.] Then he can silver solder the leak or replace the
line. The system will then be attached to a vacuum pump for
about 1 hour to pull all of the air and moisture out of the
system. Then he will install the correct amount of freon into
the a/c unit. Viola [not sure that is the correct word] and you
are back in business. There is also a DRIER and possibly
other components that will require replacement also.
