anybody here with long hair ever use hair rollers/curlers before?
I just bought some EZ grip rollers online by JET SET on eBay. They are for long hair and grip really well. Does anybody here have any tips for using rollers on long hair? Got any techniques? I am planning on sleeping with them in so the curl/wave will last all the next day. My hair is very straight and very hard to curl with an iron unless you have LOTS of hairspray. Who has any ideas for using them? I want some good results. I want to use less hairspray because my hair is already damaged so I hope this is a good investment! ANY ADVICE WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED.
My suggestion would be to have a test run. So, on a night you know you will have some extra time in the morning, put the curlers in and sleep as you normally would. This way, when you wake up in the morning to take your curlers out, you will see if you like the look of the wave or curls. If you don't, you can always wash it out and if you absolutely adore it you can plan on doing your hair this way on a regular basis. Also, the more curlers the have and the less hair in each curler gives you curlier hair. The less curlers you have and the more hair in each one gives you wavier hair. As long as your hair is wet when you put your hair in the curlers/rollers and dry when you take them out, there will be less of a chance for the hair to straighten.
