Redken Smooth Down, will it actually make my hair straight?

I just got this product yesterday, and I want to know if it'll actually straighten my hair or not, and to what extent. I'm hoping for perfectly straight, but I don't know if it will.

My hair goes down to my jaw in the front, and to my shoulders in the back.

One more question, how often should I use this shampoo?

Redken Smooth Down products will not make your hair straight. It is more for helping you get a smooth look. It works best for hair that is frizzy. You can not get your hair straight unless you temporarily heat style or chemically change your hair. No products unless chemical will make your hair straight. You should invest in a straightener. You would be surprised at how many men actually use one. This will let you choose when you would like your hair to be straight.
