Dyed hair from blonde to red and the ends turned pink. How can I fix it?
My friend had light blonde hair and decided to go red (unnatural, red-red). We used herbal essence to dye it and for the most part it turned out great, but the ends turned PINK! What caused this and what can we do to fix it?
permanent dye shouldn't be used over semi-permanent dyed hair. the pink is from the red still showing up. maybe if she tried washing it with clarifying shampoo as much as she can. clarifying shampoo works best at removing dirt, oils, deposits and makes hair color fade. it makes permanent hair color fade too so try only washing where it's pink and it should come out. it will probably take more than one washing so try it again and again and see if the pink gets lighter. if it does, it will all wash out eventually. just be sure to keep it conditioned during all this shampooing 'cause you could dry it out too much if you don't condition. if shampooing doesn't fade the color, it has to be bleached. good luck!
