How can I make professional model prototypes at home?
I am a 3D Product Design student, and am wondering how I can make professional looking model prototypes at home. I want to achieve simple 3D forms/objects, like a model of a TV remote for example. Nothing has to work or move, it is simply visual.
I like to use clay when I have the convenience of a kiln, but what can I use at home to mould and shape? Is there anything like clay which will go solid and hard without the need of firing?
Thanks
There is a clay out there that I abuse so to speak lol, its called super sculpy. Its a polymer clay that is easily sculpted and then baked in the over, so no need for a kiln. The oven temp should be around 250 degrees, and it takes about 20 minutes to bake all the way through. Its a very easy to use product.
