What are the advantages/disadvantages of hair coloring at home versus at a salon?
I really want to color my hair, but it's a pretty specific color that I want. I would like to just do it at home, but I'm worried that it won't turn out, however I don't necessarily want to pay the high prices of a salon. So, basically I just want all the pros and cons of both ways. Thanks!
Advantages of going to the salon:
Experienced colorist coloring your hair
Less risk of hair damage
Percentage of your color coming out right is higher
They carry professional products that can make the color come out richer, shinier, and healthier
Disadvantages of coloring at salon:
Pricey
Advantages of coloring at home:
Privacy
Cheaper
Disadvantages of coloring at home:
Higher risk of hair damage
Color may not come out exactly like you want
I mean you basically just answered your own question, but either way there always a risk of the color not coming out right, but it's less of a chance when you go to the beautician. I'm sure you'll make the right decision....Good luck
