Any chance of Apple upgrading to new Mac Book Pro?

I have a Macbook Pro that I bought in June, and it's still under Apple Care warranty. I've taken very good care of it, but its hard drive is VERY loud, especially when starting up from sleep.

Anyway, I know this is a long shot, but would there be any chance of trading my current one for a new model MBP? If not, would they put a trade-in towards the price of a new one?

Well you are right about it being a long shot, but it doesn't cost you anything to ask them. So I'd get a rep on the phone and see what they are or aren't willing to do. That's the only way to get a concrete answer on your situation.

The last generation MacBook Pro's are solid computers still. They have a shiny new case, but the guts didn't get a huge upgrade (a small one for sure, but nothing huge). I'd just get the HDD fixed and keep going with the laptop you have. Plus the new ones have had issues with the trackpad and the new graphics cards (it is the first generation of a re-design after all, think of it as buying the first year model of a new car).
