how do i know im not over moisturizing my hair?
my hair is super dry right now and very fragile do to some hairstyling overhaul i had done. i use an excellent line of products called phyto. its all organic and seems to improve the strength issue but how do i know im not over-doing it? ive heard that over moisturizing can actually make the dryness worse.
as of right now for the problem i use a nutrient conditioner that is supposed to be left in 5-15 minutes depending on porosity, leave in conditioner before and after i flat iron (i dont always flat iron though and i dont blow dry my hair, i usually spritz some one and go to bed), and a conditioning balm for ultra dry hair.
is this overkill?
my phyto conditioner says use as needed but i switch it up every few days.
i have a ghd flat iron (yes its real, i didnt buy it online) and ALWAYS protect my hair before and after using.
You can not really over moisture your hair. It is all down to making sure you rinse your hair really well getting all of the product out. If you don't then it can leave your hair looking flat, lifeless and oily.
As long as you are making sure that all of the product is out of your hair you will not over moisturize your hair.
If you are using something that has hair mask in the title try not to use it more than once a week because usually they take a lot of work to wash out.
Make sure when you are using the irons on your hair that you put on a protective spray or something like that because otherwise all the moisturizing you are doing is for nothing and your hairs condition will not improve at all.
