I just put semi-permanent color in my hair. How long do I have to wait before I can put permanent color in?
I put semi-permanent color in my hair on the 28th. The color didn't come out the way I wanted it to because my natural hair color's too dark so I decided I'd try letting my hair stylist lift my natural color and add something different. How long do I have to wait before I can use permanent dye in my hair?
Wait at least two weeks since you are going to use a more aggressive technique for the next treatment. Even though you used a semi permanent color, you still used peroxide and that dries the hair. Depending on the condition of your hair, if your hair is dry or frizzy or shows any signs of damage, or has any split ends, wait longer and make sure to condition your hair a couple of times before the next treatment. Best thing would be to go see the stylist in person so she can evaluate your hair and she will tell you when would be safe to recolor your hair.
