I've seen loads of people with great messy ponytails, and I've read loads of descriptions. Most of the descriptions say 'tip your hair upside down', but when I try that, my hair just goes lumpy, and not messy. I've also read that you should backcomb, so is there a brush that's the best to make it look messy? I have a round hard-bristled brush, and a mason-pearson brush. Which is the best? Can someone please give me a really detailed description? Sorry if that's a lot to ask, but I really really want to get this look perfect.
