How do you bring out natural red highlights in your hair?
I'm mostly Irish, and have dark brown hair with red undertones, mostly brought out by the sun in the summer. I love when the red undertones are defined, but whenever I use hair dye I end up with a purplish hue instead of red. I'm done with chemical hair stuff, is there some sort of natural treatment I could use to bring out my under-defined highlights?
Lemon-juice works to bring out your natural color but it is acidic and eats away @ your hair's out cuticle so that the sun can get in. If you are comfortable with die though this isn't as bad. You just put some in your hair and sit out in the sun for 10 min.!!! hope that helps a lot for you
