Oil Treatment

What is better to put on an unopened zit? Sulfur mask or Benzoyl Peroxide/Tea Tree Oil treatment?
I have two zits that have not come to a head yet. Should I put a 10% sulfur mask on them overnight or a benzoyl peroxide and tea tree oil spot treatment? Or should I just leave them alone? Big date tomorrow : /
Well, maybe you should put some make up to conceal it - just like what most celebrities do with their acne spots.
Bear in mind that whatever topical acne treatment that you chose to put on it, it won't go away overnight as zit that is yet mature and "headless" will take weeks to vanish from your face.
I would recommend you try benzoyl peroxide in the lowest dosage :2.5%. And apply sparingly to the two zits you have. Don't worry when you see the zits start to swell as it is the action of benzoyl peroxide to draw out the sebum and shedded dead skin that make such an occurrence. Aside from that, benzoyl peroxide also kills the P. acnes bacteria that causes your skin to erupt with acne.
I guess you must be in your teenage years and it is at this stage of your life that your hormones (especially the male one) are going crazy which mean that you will bound to get a lot of zits in the future.
What you can do is to apply a OTC topical solution to keep acne at bay. The one you already have (beneath your skin) will rise to the top surface of your skin during treatment while the medication will prevent any new acne from developing.
If you feel extremely irritated by the application, apply less and once every two days. Observe how your skin react and if there is no severe irritation and discomfort, you can gradually increase the frequency of application and amount.
Remember to exercise patience and take time at a time in treating your acne. This is going to be the deciding factor whether you can treat your acne successfully or bear with its ugly result.
