Months Supply

BF for six months, need help getting my milk supply back?
My six months old baby is breastfed on demand (every two hours) and wakes up thrice for feedings in the night. On my pediatrician's advice, last week I started feeding him baby cereal twice a day (not more than two tbsp). Also I supplement with formula (up to three ounces) in the evening before his bedtime. I find my milk supply coming down since the last three days. And the baby is also distracted by things around and doesn't want to stay on the breast for more than five minutes. How do I get my supply up and still continue with his solid feeds? Please help.
PUMP! If you can get a pump, even for a week...! You just need to have constant sucking on the breast in order to maintain your milk supply.
My baby is almost 7 mo old --she was nursing every 2 hours until about a month ago. I started feeding her cereal at 6 mos. Did not help her sleeping or anything (myth!!), but she is going longer in between feedings. She enjoys eating "meals" now. I nurse her before then feed her within that hour after nursing her. My milk supply seems to be fine for her. (She still nurses every 4 hr and night. ) Plus it's supply and demand. Your milk supply will not go away once the baby nurses less..your body (should) produce enough. Hope this helps!
