thanks everyone!!! your suggestions are really helpful i have a much better idea of what to do now!
I am not a hair stylist or anything but I had problems with my hair and have asked quite a few stylists.. i have naturally dark brown hair.. i wanted the exact color of the pic u want your hair to be... well when i did it myself it didnt turn right.. it was orange.... then i asked a "color expert" over the phone from clairol.. they told me to use one of their products and it still didnt work... finnaly, i found something that worked great, now my hair is the color of the woman in that photo.. first, i bought hair bleach called "born blonde" Clairol makes it. I got it right at walmart. left it on till it looked blonde enough. you have to wait till it goes through all the color stages, but since your hair is pretty light already you shouldnt have to wait very long. then i got this shampoo and conditioner from sallys beauty supply called "shimmer lights". when i got home I washed my hair with it. But I left each the shampoo and conditioner on for about 15 minutes each before i washed it out. That stuff did miracles. it realyl lightened it up and got rid of yellow tones that the hair gets from bleaching it, and gave it this really pretty blonde color. You can try it, it worked for me..
