I've recently gone to get a cap put on. So, they have put a temporary crown on. Which falls off but I use denture adhesive to keep it on. But should I be concerned about the filling being very loose and causing pain before they put the permanent cap on?

They are putting a permanent crown on not a cap.
On Monday he shaved the tooth down to a "stump" looking thing to prep for the crown, took a mold, and sent it to the lab... so in a few weeks when he puts on the crown, is that when he will put in a new filling? should I just call him and ask him about it?
Ok, yes, the temporary crown has come off, but also the entire filling is coming up too and has been for a few months now.
