were part of Mexico before 1846.......
How do you see this war lost against USA?
Was it unfair? this is called Mexican Cession... Guadalupe Hidalgo cession by Antonio Lopez de Santana the worst president ever in the damn history of my country, he accepted 15 million for more than 2 million sq. kms (including Texas 1836)

I totally agree that the entire deal was a rip off and just look at how things are now that the united states wants to kick out the mexicans from those lands in specificly calling them immigrants but when they look back at the history of texas in particular the whole thing started because the gringos were immigrating to texas without the consent of the mexican goverment and after a while the gringos just decided they wanted texas so they rebeled and managed to capture santa ana (hidden in the grass after one of the battles) and get him to sign a treaty that said the official boundary was the rio grande
years later when Texas was added to the United states the Americans wanted to say the official border was the rio grande but Mexico said it wasnt because the treaty was invalid and they still considered Texas part of Mexico just sort of like a rebellious state so James Polk the President of the United states ordered Zachary Taylor to go to the rio grande to provoke the Mexicans and i guess it worked
The Mexicans attacked and the Polk said that they attacked on american soil which wasnt true because at that time the land still belonged to mexico
anyways Mexico fought strongly and bravely but they didnt have enough competent generals(santana) and lost
Santana agreed to sell the land to the U.S. and signed the treaty whats ironic is that like 6 or 7 years later Santana was finally kicked out of power in Mexico for selling the united states the bottom part of present day new mexico and arizona in what is known as the gadsen purchase and guess how much the United States paid for that litytle piece of land 10million almost as much as they paid for all of the land between california and texas
