Is something wrong with my chi flat iron?
I just received a Chi flat iron[the original Farouk one] in early July and I noticed when I first starting using it, it worked excellent on my hair. I could go a couple days without ironing it and it stayed in perfect shape. Even in really dry weather, my hair didn't frizz or change at all because of how effective it was. But, lately I noticed if I iron it in the evening, the next day I find it kinked and have to re-iron. Then my hair gets messed up again towards the end of the day. That didn't happen when I first started using it. Today I also noticed the heat wasn't going as high as usual. Did this happen to anyone else? If I got it as a gift and don't have the receipt, can I still exchange it for another one if I still am under 1 year warranty?

Most problems with Chi Flat irons occur from wrapping the cord around the iron when you are not using it. This can cause electric shortages causing the iron to shut off or not heat up. I have been through 2 of them. The one I use now I have had it for 3 years and it works just fine. I am sure I have used it on 5000 clients.
