How long should the ceramic coating on a straightener last ?
How long should the ceramic coating on a straightener last if it doesn't have a lifeline guarantee on plate wear ? When it does start to chip away, will it be visible ?
I have a few straighteners in mind, one of them has teflon, nano-diamond and ceramic plates. How long should it last if i use it about once a week ?
Would it be better if the straightener had ionic conditioning ?

the straightners i have are remington ceramic ones, i've had them over a year use them every other day and the ceramic is still perfect, i clean them once a week when they are on with a damp cloth that removes all the residue build up on them from heat products you mightuse on your hair. i did have some ghd's which i though were rubbish the plates were really hard to clean ans as they are textured chip easily, it depends on the make i think, i've used remington like forever and never had a problm, i have really unruly hair aswell and the finish is great.
