On a 32 inch flat panel, is it worth paying the extra money for 1080p over 720p?
I'm trying to decide between T.V.s. I'm not a videophile and most of the viewing will be children's DVDs or PBS. Since I kept my last TV for almost 20 years, I'd like to buy a good set that will last. I'm deciding between the Sony KDL 32L4000 and the Sony KDL 32NL140. Neither has 1080p. Consumer Reports states that for non-videophiles, the extra expense of 1080p over 720p isn't worth it in sets measuring 32 inches and less. Does anyone disagree?
I have been looking for a television and asking A LOT of questions, and it seems for a 32 you really do not need 1080, it is to small for that to matter, a 37 is questionable and anything over that should be 1080.
