I hope you can help me....
I have 2 orphan kittens....about 3 weeks old now.
I have been nursing them for 9 days now.
At first they had severe diarrhea... So I was told by a vet office to thicken the formula to a "milkshake consistency"
This did stop the diarrhea...but then they were "backed up" for at least 2-3 days.
One kitten became VERY lethargic. and was not able to walk.
I took her to the ER where they gave her 3 enemas and 2 doses of sugar water to hydrate her.
The next morning she had heavy breathing and sounded horsed in her breaths.
I brought her back to the ER...X-rays showed all poop is cleared and no problem with the lungs...No temp either. She is still there...but the vet said she has no clue what is wrong....
I am afraid she will not make it...any suggestions on what it could be?
The other kitty is doing fine...I thinned the formula and gave her the med. the Dr. game me to soften her poop. She went pretty good today.
But I need help for my other kitten!
