While Robert Murat has kept silent,I am astonished how,just because they are wealthy doctors,they have attracted all this rich mens support.If they really had nothing to fear they would have faced a portugese jury,as an ordinary person would have had to do. How can that new spokesman KNOW they know nothing?was he there at the time? It is an awful abuse of a small peace-full country,englands oldest ally,to start a campaign to make them look stupid,to marginalise their evidence,much of which was collected by our police.It seems awful to me the prime minister has spoken to what are "official suspects"could it be one lot of scots helping another lot of scots?? For what it"s worth I always believed she had wandered off,and came to some mishap. but IF she had have been taken (say)for someone who wanted a healthy white child,do you think they would have kept her as in the photo?surely they would have (at least)cut,and perhaps dyed her hair? Your question was interesting up to the point "one lot of Scots (BTW: it's got a capital S, so has England!) helping another lot of Scots. That observation was totally uncalled for. They went to Brown because as Chancellor, he stuck his neb in and they are hoping for more of the same now that he's PM. I hope to Christ he doesn't get involved in this. I'm not a Gordon lover but NO MEMBER of the British Government should be involved in this. The whole circus has got way out of hand - it's like a runaway train. I know this observation has been made before but I'm saying it again - IF THESE TWO WERE WORKING-CLASS/SINGLE PARENT, THIS WOULD NOT BE HAPPENING! I'm totally and utterly disgusted with the whole thing. WHY are they being allowed get away with all this? I don't know if they harmed their daughter or not - and at this particular moment in time, I don't give a f*ck either. But it seems to me that these two are getting away with NEGLECT simply because they're wealthy professionals with friends who have deep pockets. And in the process they seem to have forgotten the MAIN person in all of this - MADELEINE. Yes Mr & Mrs McCann - that wee girl who you were "leaving no stone unturned" in searching (?) for - and the reason you WERE NOT leaving Portugal. More lies.
Edit: Forgot to say her identity would have been easy to change. Much was made of the unique mark on Madeleine's right pupil - easy to disguise with contact lenses possibly and very easy to change her hair colour and style.
