i'm at college studying hairdressing and lately, all the costumers are not booking appointments with me - all the other girls are getting loads but i'm hardly getting anyone, i can only do my friends hair (shes white), and my mums.

we had to do each others hairs, and when i was paired up with another girl, i tried to do her hair but she kept moving and shifting, and then she shouted that i burned her head with straighteners, when i hardly touched her!! but then after college, they all said to me the reason why nobody wanted me to touch their hair is coz' l am black and that i carry AIDS.

i am real upset and confided into my hairdressing teacher but she said that to 'ignore' them. my dream is to be a hairdresser and i dont want to give up my dream, but l'm scared to go back to college,

what can i do? im so scared and dont want to get racism again.

i put it in mentals health because i am suffering from depression over this situation, sorry.
