How do I make hair washing less traumatic for my 7 month old?
My 7- month old son had finally started to enjoy baths a couple months ago. He likes to sit and play with his toys, but getting him to tilt his head up is nearly impossible while he's playing. So, I bought a special cup with a rubber lip that molds to his head while I pour the water over his head, but he still gets water and suds in his face and FREAKS OUT. Lately, he screams the second I put him in the tub. I can't even calm him with his toys anymore. Bath time has really become stressful for both of us. Any suggestions??

you might just let him take a bath in the bathtub and (i know this sounds crazy but..) just dont wash his hair while he is in the tub.. of course bathe him but let him play...
either before you give him a bath or after you can lay him down on either the kitchen countertop or the bathroom one.. which ever is easier for you and wash his hair in the sink..
let him lay on his back and you can hold up his head while its on the edge of the sink and that way his head is pretty much already tilted back and wont get the water or suds in his eyes..
this is what my grandmother used to do for me..
hope it works..
oh and you can give him a toy or something to be interested in while you are washing his hair.. (to keep him still for a min or two)..
