how do i get my hair to look full thick and shiny with natural curles?
i want my hair to look thick and shiny, i have naturally curlyish hair and want to be able to have a lot of good hair days insted of bad ones! i go on holiday tomorrow and want to be able to leave my hair natural please help??!xx
First of all, if your hair is curly, you're gonna want to wash/condition it no more often than every other day.I have extremely curly hair and I swear by Treseme. Honestly, most hair products work when used correctly.
The first and most important step is washing your hair. Only shampoo at the roots, and only condition the ends. When you rinse your hair, the shampoo will wash through the rest of your hair. FOCUS the conditioner on the ends, and then just use your hands to get the minimal amount of conditioner in the rest of your hair. comb through your hair with the conditioner in it to ensure even distribution. Leave for 3-5 minutes. Some say rinsing with cold water makes it shinier and seals the ends... I swear it does but science says it doesn't... (I say if anything go ahead and rinse cold because even if it doesn't "technically" help, it doesn't hurt anything.
When I want to go for luxurious, I have a very simple process. with wet hair, I work mousse through ALL of my hair. Make sure you get the roots and the tips, especially or else it'll just by crunchy in some spots and frizzy in others. How I do it is: bend over and work it through all my hair, and then flip it up and make sure I get the back. Make sure you do it both ways or else you'll end up with mousse in some spots and not in the others. Then comb through to ensure even distribution. From there you can do just about anything with it. My favorite trick is, I take small parts (like 2"x2") and twist them together as tightly as possible. I do this to my whole head. When you are done, it will look ridiculous. But in the end it's beautiful! Let it dry. Once it's completely dry, lightly tug the curls apart. You will have perfect curls. A little hairspray and voila!
