Advantage of ionic and infrared technology in hair dryers?
Is there actually an advantage in using ionic (negative ions) and infrared radiation in hair dryer, and if yes, then can anyone explain briefly the physics behind it?
I've never seen any kind of difference between my old Revlon dryer and the new expensive "ionic" and ceramide dryers...not even a MINOR difference. There's supposed to be less time involved in drying with the latter, but honestly it seemed to take just as long if not longer.
As far as the shine it is supposed to give?
Just turn the cool shot on a regular dryer - it does the same job of closing the cuticle.
