What are the benefits of spa? We just relax or what? Is it done personally or under a trainer's guidance?Thanx?
My gym has spa facility but I haven't been there. Do we remove or change our clothes also? Thanks.
Spas offer many different treatments, but at a gym spa, I would expect mostly massages to relieve the muscle soreness from working out. This would be performed by a massage therapist. They may also offer facials, etc.
For a massage, it's best if you wear just underwear (or you can go nude, but it is NOT required). If you are uncomfortable with that, ask the massage therapist if they can do your massage in your workout clothes. They should be willing to accommodate you and help you feel comfortable.
Don't be afraid to ask what treatments are offered, how they are performed and by whom, and if you can take a look around before scheduling a treatment. They should be willing to answer any questions you might have and show you around before you make any commitments.
