How do I use ginger root? Do I boil it then add it or do I grate it into what im cooking ?
How to use ginger root
There's no need to boil it, that's for sure. It's edible raw.
You can dice it up fine with a knife, or use the "finest" side of a cheese grater. It depends on whether you desire some tiny chunks of ginger in your food. I like it that way, personally. Whether or not to peel it is up to you.
You can store the ginger root in a plastic baggie in the freezer, and grate it while it's still frozen. Stored that way, it'll last for several months.
