What Can I Expect at a Heavy Metal Concert?
I may be going to see In Flames, All That Remains, 36 Crazy Fists, and Gojira in Massachusetts this winter, and I'm a tall skinny kid. So i was wondering if I should just stay home, prepared to get the crap beat out of me, or go and hope for the best. I was thinking of just bringing a really big guy with me 
Well, it depends on where you stand. If you stand close to the center there will be a lot of pushing and punching, just general roughness. If you want to avoid it though you can stand farther back in the crowd and you'll be fine. If you really want to go there's no reason not to, just stand back far enough that you'll be out of the way of all the moshing. The majority of the people that go to those concerts don't mosh, it's really a pretty small number.
