Vitamins or vegetables?
I hate eating vegetables no matter how you prepare them. So instead, I take a few multivitamins and fiber supplements and drink plenty of water throughout the day. I've heard from people that vitamins are no substitute for vegetables, (because of absorption etc) but no one has ever been able to convince me of this. Does anyone know of good, legitimate research studies that have documented that vegetables are superior to vitamins? Can you show me some proof, not just opinion? Thanks
Check the FDA website (www.FDA.gov).
Vitamins are supplements, not replacements. Most people do not get the wide variety of fruits and vegetables we need each day for full nourishment. Vitamin supplements are taken for this reason.
Also, vitamins are manufactured. They only contain some nutrients, not everything that we need.
