How do i heal my brittle hair?
Last week one of my friends dyed my hair; unfortunately when i dried it I discovered she had missed a couple spots. I went to the salon the next day and got the spots covered up. Now, the color looks great, but with all of the chemicals my hair has endured it has become very brittle. It's not falling out, it's simply breaking off. I also typically dry and straighten my hair daily, but I've tried to keep that to a minimum this past week. I've also been using deep moisturizing conditioners and extra heat protection spray when I do dry and straighten it, but it's still breaking off! Does anyone know of any exceptional-quality moisturizing or repairing shampoos, conditioners, or cremes that may help me?
My friend had the EXACT same problem. What you should do is go to the salon and show them your hair. They will give you a deep conditioning treatment. In the mean time, you can use olive oil, mayonnaise, and co wash(conditioner wash) to treat your hair.
I highly recommend co washing your hair. what it is, is that instead of using shampoo to clean your hair, just use conditioner. I do it because my hair tends to be dry on its own.
And it works wonders. On other days you can just put conditioner in you hair and leave it in for a long time like 30 minutes then wash it out.
Change your shampoo too, because it may have abrasive ingredients that are contributing to your dry hair. Olive oil at your roots and tips will be very beneficial to your hair.
Also don't use heat in your hair that will damage your hair permanently and you will have to start over by cutting your hair.
