Yes I know brats are unhealthy and I dont eat them often... my boyfriend wants to grill some since it will be one of our first nice spring days.... and I dont eat Jimmy Deans often either.. Ive actually had a box of them in the freezer for months... and they are the ones with whole grain, light cheese, turkey sausage, and egg white.
Even your day with the brats is pretty low calorie. Your plan for today sounds like close to a "starvation diet" plan. If you're trying to lose weight, and if you do it in a healthy way, you should be consuming about 1,000 - 1,200 calories a day. Assuming the banana is about 60 calories, you are at about half that, and the 60 calories for the chocolate are "empty calories" (no nutritional value). Even your day with the brats is only about 920 calories, so you're still under what most doctors recommend for healthy weight loss.
I understand the desire to lose the weight fast, but study after study has shown that these minimal calorie diets are temporary fixes, and most of the people who use them to lose weight either get frustrated and quit before they reach their goal, or they gain all of the weight back after they reach their goal.
Try adding in a lot more fruits, vegetables and whole grains to your diet to increase your calories with healthy, low fat foods. I also noticed your daily diet is lacking in dairy, which is essential in your diet, especially if you are a young woman. You need the calcium to maintain your bone health, and prevent osteoporosis later in life. Add a glass of skim milk 80 calories) and a non-fat sugar free yogurt (about 60 calories) to your daily plan. You can even have low fat sugar fee pudding (60-80 calories) as a healthy snack--try that instead of your dark chocolate--more filling and actually has some nutritional value!
If you are not already doing so, add exercise to your daily routine to help burn the extra calories. Include some light weight training...muscle burns more calories, so if you build up your muscles, your body burns more calories to operate them.
It sounds like you are on the right track, so good luck and keep up the good work!
