Needs help with ceramic curling iron?
I have a bit below my shoulders, very straight and kind of on the thin side. I have a ceramic curling iron and hair spray, but when i try to do my hair, it just falls apart in minute, even with hair spray! Any help?
a great tip is to first off start out by sectioning your hair with clips like they use at hairdressers and section by dividing the head in half at the crown and following down just behind the ears. divide each of these sections in half like you were parting your hair down the middle. now you'll have 4 sections and always start using the back 2 sections. brush a piece out of the section and then hairspray it and wrap it around the curling iron until the hair feels warm to the touch. only use small sections since your hair doesn't hold the curl well. when you undo the hair from the iron with one hand, use the other hand to catch the curl and keep it wrapped into the circle shape the iron left it in and secure to your scalp with a bobby pin or 2 and spray with hair spray..making sure you're spraying about 15cm from your head to prevent crispy hair. leave it secured in place and and continue to curl the rest of your back hairs repeating this process. once you get to the front sections you can leave them in to secure the curls will stay in place and curl the bottom sections in the front focusing on the bottom sections in the front. i suggest doing looser curls on top to soften the look for a more natural look so use a bit larger section of hair in the curling iron when you get there but you'll probably want to secure those in place the same way as you did for the back sections. when you think they're set undo the bobby pins and gently run your fingers through and fix any awkward curls by wrapping them around your finger and spray again to make everything stay put!!
