Can I use Almond Oil meant for cooking/salads for massaging hair/body?

I have found this bottle lying ignored somewhere in the back of my kitchen shelf (my bad!)...and the expiry date was like Nov. 2010.

I believe, it wouldn't be wise to imbibe it internally, could it be harm if used externally?

Looking forward to your advice :)
@Amber: I would, because of it's properties! Like Anna has mentioned, it is rich in Vitamin E and D which are good for skin and hair.

I just want to know if oils lose their properties after a time, even in an unopened bottle stored in a cool, dark place!

If it does not smell badly, like rancid, there is nothing wrong to use it on your skin and hair.
Natural oils oxidize over time, not just by being exposed to air but also in form of auto-oxidization. The result is that it smells rancid. It still would not be a health hazard.
