Will taking an extra birth control pill after you have sex help reduce the risk of pregnancy?
The reason I think this is true is because if you miss a pill one day they say it is ok to take two the next day. Also, the plan B birth control is nothing more than a really high dose of regular birth control pills. Thus it should be concluded that if you have extra pills around, it would help to take an extra pill the day after sex?
no it wont help at all! they tell you its ok to take another dose that day to keep the hormone levels in the body some what the same since u missed one...and higher dose birth control does the same thing they are designed to keep hormones at a certain level...which can prevent pregnancy that the only thing...so taking more pills wont help reduce the risk even more ...the possibility of getting pregnant would still be in that 1% chance on the pill more pills or not
