Can I use a deep conditioner every time?
I recently bought pantine provee hair masque/deep conditioner. It says to use like twice a week, but i straighten my hair everyday, and have thin fine hair, so it gets damaged easily. I don't wash my hair everyday either, i wash it every other day so it won't dry out, so would using the deep conditioner every time i wash my hair hurt me in anyway? Or can i use it every time.
You would use any conditioner as often as necessary. If it needs it, then use it.
When you colour your hair, or have a perm, then you may need a couple of treatments. Then as it improves, you would use it less frequently. You have to judge.
If it is only oil, that is not going to do anything for your hair. You need something that will rebuild broken protein chains, and you will need a moisturizer (puts water in hair). These are not the same thing, and do not come in the same product, unless it is specially made for Emergency treatment.
Check Nexxus or Focus21 for products like these. Other brands may have them as well -- Redken used to, but they have dropped a lot of the good products since L'Oreal bought the company.
If you are going to straighten your hair everyday, then you are going to need all the help you can get. That is one guaranteed way to damage hair severely. Be very careful what you are doing!
