How to decrease GPU Temperature?
Hi Experts,
I would like to ask your advice for this..
My GPU temperature is 60C during idle and it shoots up to 80+C when playing games. There are also times that it shoots up to 90+C when playing a different game.
I've done the following to reduce GPU temp, but still no change at all.
1. Cleansed the GPU fan and heatsink.
2. Purchased and installed true rated PSU (HEC Raptor 500W)
3. Purchased and installed Duke Duo casing for better air flow.
4. Installed 120mm front intake/rear exhaust fans
5. Configured nvidia graphic settings to "Performance"
I am currently using Palit 7600GS.
Additional Information: No room air conditioner.
Thanks in advance.

Can I request the effects of underclocking my video card?
Will this affect current performance?
Thanks in advance.
Well you have done everything I would have done, make sure video card getting direct airflow, maybe use PCI slot cooler, but also take into air flow. Now the Geforce 7 GPU is built to take 120C before the die fails and I have work on many Geforce 7 system, It's common to +80C from the die and wont hurt the video card in anyway, but water cooling only choice to lower temp of that video card. Best bet is to get air conditioning in that room. As if the air in the room is cooler, will make big changes in any cooling system for a computer even water loop.
Note: Nvidia graphic settings doesn't change system watt usage, I would leave it to "application decide"
