Which Winchester Model 70 is right for me?
Well I am considering buying the Winchester Model 70 super grade and I can't decide on the caliber. Thinking of going with the 30-06. I hunt mostly large game. If you have any opinions on the caliber or even a diffrent rifle they will be appreciated.

Stay away from the WSM, they might not be around forever. If you want the 30-06, go with it. I own it and love it. I shoot everything with it from crows to deer, and its large enough to take anything in North America and beyond. The only competitor on your list is the 300 win mag. It shoots with more power and a flatter trajectory than the 30-06. Some people will say that the 270 does too, but try it with the same size bullet and you will have a different story. Both ammo is easy to get to and will be around forever. I think the extra thirty bucks is worth it, and if you reload or just buy your ammo, you can find a round for anything you want to hunt. The choice is yours, you cant do wrong with either. These days, you do see more of a switch to the 300 though.
One more thing I must say. I own a savage in a 30-06 also, and its an amazing rifle. More accurate, much nicer trigger, and the barrels are amazing. It may not be as appealing in the show room, but in the field and on the paper its superb. And it will run you half the price.
