I mean as a person of color, I see nothing wrong with having pride in a fellow person of color who is very close to making history that will really alter race relations and politics in America. But Powell is good friends with McCain, and says despite this, Obama is what he feels the country needs.

I mean, if you think Colin Powell, a well-respected moderate Republican, four-star general who served in Vietnam, is only supporting Barack Obama because's he's black as well (despite considerably political and generational differences), why don't you think all the white people supporting McCain are doing so because of his race? Or do you think some of them are (or not so much because of McCain's race, but Obama's race if you get what I mean). I guess what this question comes down to, is do you think saying Colin Powell's supporting Obama just because they're both black is a bit of a cheap shot?
