Help with hair dyeing-L'oreal?
I bleach my hair to achieve the 'white platinum' color, and i did it last night. After bleaching with Blue Powder Bleach and 20vol (6%) cream peroxide my hair was a yellowy color, so i applied some semi permanent toner to get rid of the yellow!
I only did this to get me through a few days, as i've ordered some L'oreal Luocolor P01 color to hopefully make my hair white after bleaching!
The semi permanent toner worked, but i don't think it will last very long!
My question is; i keep hearing that in order to tone my hair to white, i need to bleach as light as possible. As i have dark blonde hair naturally, i thought one 45 minute application was enough! It makes my hair a yellowy colour! Is this light enough to apply the Luocolor...?
(The Luocolor is a sheer permanent colour in a blue pastel shade i believe; it lifts about 2 levels i think.)
Any help appriciated!
You should be okay, but first I would asess the damage to your hair. If it is severely damaged don't put a permanent color on. Try a semi permanent color. It is a little bit stronger than a toner, as it will last about 28 washes. ISemi-Permanent color is normally a conditioning color, make sure you look for that on the product. After about 2 weeks, it should be okay to put the permanent color on. Also, make sure you are using a color protectant shampoo. I love dumb blonde by bed head. It is a restoring conditioner that helps bring out the blonde tone, and gets rid of brassiness. You can also try John Freida's sheer blonde tone restoring shampoo and conditioner if you are on a budget. They are considered a "blue shampoo" which also tones down the yellow brassy tones. The conditioner can dry out your hair, so I always mix mine with a deep conditioner. And when youn are bleaching your hair keep in mind, deep conditioners are your best friends. If you still need advice or help go to your local beauty store. You'd be surprised with all that they know. Hope this helps!!
