Will Aloe Vera gel help restore my natural skin color from tan?
this summer i got dark than i am. i bought this aloe vera gel for my sunburn, that i got when i went to the beach without sunblock. but the other times i was out in the sun i wore sunblock but i still got dark. if i keep applying aloe vera would i go back to my natural skin color, or should i stop putting the gel on, because my sunburn doesn't hurt anymore.
Aloe Vera is a cooling gel that helps with sunburn. It helps because the heat of the sun is trapped in the skin, and the Aloe helps cool it down. I don't think the Aloe helps return your skin to the natural color, the only way your skin will go back is with time. The layers of skin will natural fall off, and will return back to normal, the Aloe won't help with that. However the Aloe is not bad for you and you can keep using it if you like.
In short you should stop using the Aloe if your skin is not burned.
