How do I use ion color brilliance hair color creme?
I bought from Sally Beauty the ion color brilliance high lift blonde and was wondering if anyone could help me decipher the measurements. It says to use 1:2 ratio. Does that mean one of the notches on the creme bottle (ex. 1/4) to 1/2 oz of developer. This is my first time using this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok i understand the 1:2 ratio, my main confusion is the tube has 3 notches (1/4, 1/2, 3/4) and is 2.05 oz. total. What I need to know is for example do I use the 1/4 and measure out 2 oz of developer, or do i use the whole tube of creme with 4 oz developer???
The ratio you are asking about is referring to the peroxide/color ratio. The ratio you thought you had right was wrong. The correct formula would be: But please read on first !!!!!!!!
1/ Part Color....IE the entire 2 oz. tube
2 / Parts High Lift Peroxide (generally that means 30Volume or higher)
As a hairstylist of 20+ years, I do NOT advise using this product because it is HIGH lift. Stick to semi-permanent, or demi-permanent colors with NO lift if you MUST attempt to color your own hair. These will be mixed with equal parts. 2oz/2oz. And are the safest to use. Demi the easiest, and Semi a close second. ION makes no lift colors. Also, if it were me, I would get it done proffessionally, its just too much of a risk. You don't know how many times I have had to cut off someone's hair because they screwed it up, or charge huge amounts of money to spend three or four hours trying to make it look decent again. I have even seen hair that was breaking off, ESPECIALLY with the HIGH LIFT !!!!!!!!
